The purpose of my photography is personal freedom and relaxation.
I like to capture details for my own satisfaction of trying to understand the whole.
The elements of my photograph compositions and how they are arranged in the frame are conscious choices. Elements such as line, colour, texture, shape, light value / contrast, forms, and space
My passion for architecture and principles of design have influenced my arrangement these elements. These are often intertwined within my themes: balance, unity, variety, pattern, repetition, proportion, scale, and rhythm.
My use of light to create moods is another fallback to my architecture passion. I try to create moods of stark – abandonment / isolated, respected and observant - voyeuristic images that are vague so that the viewer can fill in their own story.
My quest is to enhance and improve my exploration of light and continual search for understanding the whole.
